ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Welcome to the department of chemistry. It is one of the best department in the college, which is established in the year of June 2020 at the undergraduate level. The department began with two lecturers, Dr. B. Ramakrishna and Sri S. Nagendra recruited through public service commission by direct recruitment and joined in the department as faculty members to run classes smoothly for the undergraduate students. The department constantly strives to maintain excellent teaching skills and research experience on theory as well as practical knowledge on UG students in chemical education.

At present in our department, chemistry combination groups consists of BZC (Botany, zoology and Chemistry) and MPC (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) with English as medium of instruction. We design our teaching module to impart a through fundamental knowledge in all fields of chemistry, i.e. Physical, Inorganic, Organic chemistry and especially in Spectroscopy.

The department also provides career guidance programmes to UG students like coaching for PG entrance test to enter in to the state universities as well as national institutions for higher studies and our department also provides opportunities to its undergraduate students for pursuing internships at private companies as well as Govt. research institutes, for that they can easily get job opportunities in industries.

The department also conducts seminars, webinars, workshops and science related programmes. Our main aim is to incorporate good knowledge and practical skills in chemistry, so that students can get excellent opportunities in academic, industry as well in government sector.
