History
The department of history in YSRV Government Degree College is one among the premiere departments started during 2020-21. Indeed the History as a subject opened with two combinations.

- Historty, Economics and Computer Applications
The Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Vijayawada has sanctioned only one post. For the time being it was dealt with Guest Faculty during 2020-21, and now a Regular Faculty has been appointed on 09-10-2021.
During AY 2020-21, only 11 students were joined in the HPS Group, but during this academic year, in both groups 31 students are admitted. (HPS (6) + HECA (25)).
